Visa and Mastercard

Cards are the default option in the cashier. The A$30 floor is set by the acquirer, not RocketPlay, which is why lowering it further is not possible from the account side.

Drawbacks to be aware of:

  • CommBank, Westpac, NAB and ANZ block merchant category code 7995 (gambling) by default on most consumer cards. Unblocking usually requires a phone call.
  • Some card declines are silent — the casino side shows "approved" briefly then reverses. Check your banking app before retrying.
  • Card deposits cannot be withdrawn back to credit cards under AUSTRAC guidance; you will need a second method for payouts.

PayID and Osko — usually the fastest fiat path

PayID uses the NPP (New Payments Platform) rails, so settlement is near-instant between participating Australian banks. A$30 minimum, no processing fee on either side.

Watch-outs: not every bank exposes PayID to business payees; if the cashier says "PayID temporarily unavailable", that usually means the aggregator is rotating bank accounts, not that your account is blocked. Retry after 30 minutes or switch to POLi.

Your AU bank (CommBank, NAB Westpac, ANZ…) NPP rails PayID lookup + settlement (seconds) Aggregator Business payee on behalf of operator Operator cashier Credits balance < 60 seconds total Entire flow typically settles in under one minute when the aggregator's bank-account rotation is active. Failure mode: "PayID temporarily unavailable" = aggregator between rotations. Retry in 30 minutes.
PayID deposit flow: your bank → NPP → aggregator → operator. Near-instant end-to-end in normal operation.

Neosurf vouchers

Prepaid option: buy a voucher at a participating newsagent or servo for cash, enter the 10-digit PIN in the cashier. Nothing appears on a bank statement. The A$20 minimum is set by Neosurf, not the casino.

Drawback: Neosurf cannot be used for withdrawals. You will need to nominate a different payout method at KYC time.

Cryptocurrency

Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dogecoin and Tether are accepted. TRC-20 Tether has the lowest network fee in our testing (typically under A$2). The casino does not impose a maximum but your wallet provider may.

Drawbacks: sending on the wrong network is the #1 support ticket — ERC-20 USDT to a TRC-20 address is unrecoverable. BTC fees during mempool congestion routinely exceed A$5, which makes sub-A$50 deposits inefficient.

USDT on TRC-20 (Tron network) ✓ ACCEPTED Address starts with: T (34 characters) Network fee: usually < A$1 Confirmation time: 1-3 minutes Typical AU casino minimum: ≈ A$20 equivalent Used by: RocketPlay, Jackpot Jill, SkyCrown, HellSpin USDT on ERC-20 (Ethereum) ✗ NOT ACCEPTED Address starts with: 0x (42 characters) Network fee: can exceed A$10 during congestion Confirmation time: 1-5 minutes Sending to TRC-20 address = FUNDS LOST Unrecoverable — not a support-ticket fix
USDT on TRC-20 is the AU-casino default. ERC-20 USDT looks similar but the address format is different; sending across networks is the single most common crypto-deposit loss.

Choosing a deposit method

For speed

PayID is the fastest fiat option on the NPP rails. If you hold crypto already, TRC-20 USDT settles in 1–3 minutes with negligible fees.

🔒

For privacy

Neosurf keeps the deposit off your bank statement. Crypto adds chain-level separation from banking, though the casino still records your wallet address for KYC.

🔄

For withdrawals

POLi, Neosurf and card deposits cannot be reversed for payouts. If you plan to withdraw, deposit via PayID, MiFinity, eZeeWallet, or crypto so the same rail works both ways.

Deposit security & KYC

All deposits move over TLS 1.2+. Card details are tokenised by the processor (Praxis or Paysafe, depending on region); the casino does not see your PAN.

You can deposit before verifying, but withdrawals require KYC: government photo ID, a recent utility bill or bank statement (under 90 days old), and a selfie holding the ID. RocketPlay normally clears KYC in 24–72 hours according to the operator's stated SLA.

Deposit troubleshooting

My card was declined, what should I do?
  • Check available balance (not just current balance).
  • Confirm billing address matches your RocketPlay account exactly.
  • Call your bank — MCC 7995 (gambling) is blocked by default at the big four AU banks.
  • If the bank will not unblock, switch to PayID or a prepaid voucher.
Why hasn't my crypto deposit appeared?

Check the transaction on a block explorer (mempool.space for BTC, tronscan.org for TRX). BTC needs 1–3 confirmations, usually 10–30 minutes. The most common failure is sending ERC-20 USDT to a TRC-20 address — that deposit is unrecoverable. Contact support with the txid.

PayID or bank transfer is delayed?

PayID usually clears under a minute. If it has been longer than 30 minutes, check your bank's NPP status page and contact RocketPlay support with the transaction reference. Traditional BSB/Account transfers still take 1–3 business days and are not the same as PayID.

Is RocketPlay legal for Australians?

RocketPlay operates under a Curaçao eGaming licence (8048/JAZ) and accepts Australian residents. Under the Interactive Gambling Act 2001, offshore online casinos targeting Australia are unlicensed domestically, and customer recourse through ACMA is limited. Deposit only what you can afford to lose. See also our AUSTRAC explainer for the full regulatory context.

Can I use multiple deposit methods on one account?

Yes. Operators do not restrict you to a single deposit rail per account. Many AU players use PayID for routine deposits and keep USDT-TRC20 as a backup for bonus-eligible or larger transfers. Note: your first withdrawal may be required to go via the same rail as the majority of your deposits, under AUSTRAC-driven anti-structuring policy at some operators.

Why does my deposit show "pending" for 10 minutes on PayID?

Three possibilities: (1) the aggregator is mid-rotation and the funds landed in a bank account that is being decommissioned — it will reconcile within the hour; (2) the casino's risk system held the deposit for review because it's your first PayID or an unusual amount; (3) the NPP session itself is lagging (rare, usually a bank-side outage). In all three, patience resolves it. If it's still pending after 60 minutes, open a support ticket with the PayID reference number.

How does AUSTRAC's "travel rule" affect my deposit?

Not directly for typical recreational volumes. The travel rule requires AUSTRAC-reporting entities (banks, crypto exchanges) to pass specific originator information on transfers over certain thresholds to the receiving entity. For offshore casino deposits, the reporting obligation sits with your AU bank or exchange, not with you as the player. See the AUSTRAC explainer.

What happens if I deposit from one method and try to withdraw to another?

At most operators, withdrawals are routed to a method you have used for deposits — an anti-money-laundering control. If you deposited via PayID and want to withdraw in USDT-TRC20, you typically need to make at least one crypto deposit first to "seed" that rail. Card deposits are a special case: card withdrawals are blocked under AUSTRAC guidance (see our AUSTRAC guide), so you must nominate PayID, BSB or crypto for payouts regardless.

Before you accept a bonus — run the numbers

Every welcome match looks generous on the headline. The 40× wagering obligation on deposit plus bonus almost always produces a negative expected value at typical slot RTPs. Our free bonus wagering calculator takes any deposit size, match %, multiplier and game-contribution combination and returns the real turnover and expected value in AUD.
